Saia Family
Mike and Carol Saia live in the Seattle area where they work (mainly with
computers and foreign language fonts), teach, write, and homeschool their
son, Michael.
Mike and Carol worked as missionaries for about eighteen
years, traveling extensively and teaching in missionary training schools,
churches, and seminars. Mike's book on counseling won the "Book of the Year"
award from Cornerstone magazine. He has written a number of evangelistic
tracts (e.g., "Ten Things Every Thinking Atheist Ought to Know", "Why do the
Innocent Suffer?", and "Everything is Relative - and Other Such Absolute
Statements"), and a book on foreknowledge, and he is currently writing a
book on the Atonement.
Before they met, Mike helped to run Christian coffee
houses on American military bases in Germany, and Carol worked in India and
Afghanistan. They met in Germany in 1973 and were married in Amsterdam,
Netherlands in 1974. Mike studied at Seattle Bible Training School and Carol
majored in Philosophy at Wheaton College.
